Database

A Database is a collection of record for one or more purposes.

The term “database” refers both to the way its users view it, and to the logical and physical materialization of its information, in files, content, computer memory, and computer information storage. This definition is general, and is independent of the proficiency used.

The term “database” refers both to the way its users view it, and to the logical and physical materialization of its information, in files, content, computer memory, and computer information storage. This definition is general, and is independent of the proficiency used.
However, not every collection of information is a database; the term database implies that the information is managed to some level of quality (measured in terms of accuracy, availability, usability, and resilience) and this in turn often implies the use of a general-purpose Database management method.

A DBMS also needs to provide effective run-time execution to properly support as lots of end-users (the database’s application users) as needed. Sometimes the combination of a database and its respective DBMS is often called a Database process.

Computer databases usually contain aggregations of information records, such as sales transactions, product catalogs and inventories, and customer profiles. Usually, a database manager provides users the capabilities of controlling read/write access, specifying document generation, and analyzing usage.

The stored data in a database is not generally moveable across different Data Base Management System.

A Data Base Management System also needs to provide efficient run-time execution to properly support (e.g., in terms of performance, availability, and security) as many the database’s application users as needed. Sometimes the mixture of a database and its respective DBMS is referred to as a Database system.

The database idea has evolved since the 1960s to ease increasing difficulties in designing, building, & maintaining complex information systems. It’s evolved together with the evolvement of Database management systems (DBMSs) which enable the effective handling of databases. although the terms database & DBMS define different entities, they are inseparable.
